Cookie policy
This build uses local browser storage rather than traditional cookies. The same choice-first approach applies: essential preferences stay separate from optional project saving.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value a website can store in a browser and send with later requests. LocalStorage is a related browser capability that keeps values on the device without automatically including them in ordinary page requests. PlanForge uses localStorage for the records listed below and does not set cookies through its application code.
This policy describes the supplied static application. A hosting service may introduce separate security mechanisms depending on its configuration. Those would need to be reviewed and disclosed by the live operator. No analytics platform, advertising network, external map, or embedded media service is included here.
2. Storage inventory
| Category | Name / technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | planforge.consent.v1localStorage | Records choice, functional permission, policy version, and decision time | Until changed or browser site data is cleared |
| Functional | planforge.project.v1localStorage | Saves the current project only after permission | Until replaced, deleted, permission withdrawn, or site data cleared |
| Analytics | None installed | No audience measurement or behavior tracking | Not applicable |
| Advertising | None installed | No advertising identifiers or cross-site profiling | Not applicable |
These are first-party browser records associated with the website origin. They are not intentionally transmitted by the planner. Your browser may evict local data, especially in private browsing or when storage is limited, so persistence is not a backup guarantee.
3. What each choice does
Accept All stores your decision and enables optional project autosave. Because no analytics or advertising technology is installed, it does not activate any tracking service. Reject Non-Essential stores your rejection and keeps planning data in the current page session only. It also removes an existing saved project copy.
Preferences opens a dialog where you can allow or disallow functional project storage. Saving a choice dismisses the banner and remembers the setting for subsequent visits on the same origin and browser profile. Closing the dialog without saving does not change your prior decision.
You can reopen preferences using the footer button on every page. Withdrawing permission leaves the currently open workspace available in memory but deletes its persistent browser copy. Export first if you need a lasting record. Returning to another page after rejecting storage can lose the unsaved workspace.
4. Browser opt-out and deletion
You can remove both records through your browser’s site-data controls. Menu wording varies by version, but the following routes provide a starting point. Search settings for “site data” if your interface differs.
- Chrome: open Settings, then Privacy and security, and locate site settings or stored site data. Search for this domain and delete its data.
- Firefox: open Settings, Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data and Manage Data. Select this domain and remove it.
- Safari: on macOS, open Settings, Privacy, then Manage Website Data. On mobile, use the browser’s website-data controls in system settings.
- Edge: open Settings, find Cookies and site permissions or site-data controls, and remove stored data for this domain.
Blocking storage may cause the banner to return on later visits because the browser cannot retain your preference. The calculator can still operate in memory when JavaScript is available. Clearing website data does not delete text summaries already downloaded to your device.
5. Changes and questions
There is no sale or sharing of personal information for behavioral advertising in this application, and no optional tracking to opt out of through a browser signal. If the technology inventory changes, this page and the consent controls should be updated before new optional technology is activated.
For questions, use [email protected] and read the privacy policy. The footer’s company identity and address are illustrative, unverified details rather than an assertion of registered legal status.
